Update: It has been confirmed this was a 15 year old boy that was running from police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police chase in northern Collin County ended in a crash between an SUV and a truck Wednesday afternoon, the Wylie Police Department confirmed. The chase started in Wylie and ended in Farmersville when the vehicle wrecked out.

Officers were able to spike the vehicle at the intersections of Hwy 380 & Hwy 78, the vehicle slowed from speeds of 100 MPH to 70 MPH when it lost control hitting a commercial vehicle carrying Port-O-Potties.
