#Breaking Officer Involved Shooting In Quinlan
***Stabbing/Officer Involved Shooting***
*HCSO units are enroute to the 8300 block of Telegraph road for a caller who states a teenage child knocked on his door stating there has been a stabbing at his residence
*Possible Suspect leaving in a Blue Jeep Cherokee
*HCEMS & Quinlan Fire enroute but staging
*HCSO is in pursuit with a vehicle that has left that residence possibly the suspect
*Vehicle has just crashed out at Hwy 34 & Panther Path
*Officer advising shots fired
*HCSO units advising there are gonna be several victims at Panther Path
*HCSO asking HCEMS to step it up 2 victims cut very bad, officers applying first aid
*2 patients one male and one female, female has cuts to arms and neck male subject also cut on arms and across chest
*Gonna have 3 patients one CPR in progress at this time
*Officers on scene were the stabbing occurred advising they are clearing out the home officer advising shotgun deployed
*1 signal 27 (death) with this incident just reported
*Officers have cleared home where it has happened advising to set up a crime scene
*To sum it up there were 3 patients total, one has passed away from there injuries and the other 2 are being transported to the hospital
*Sheriff's Office has confirmed that an officer did shoot the stabbing suspect after the vehicle wrecked out at Hwy 34 & Panther Path.
Hunt County Sheriffs Office responded to a call of several people being stabbed on Telegraph Road just outside of Quinlan late Wednesday night.
As officers were enroute dispatch advised them that the suspect was gonna be leaving in a Green Jeep Cherokee headed to another location in Hunt County. An unknown officer at this time seen the vehicle and flipped on the lights to make a stop, the vehicle did not stop. The vehicle fled South on Hwy 34 eventually wrecking out @ Hwy 34 & Panther Path.
As the officer got out, the driver of the vehicle charged the officer causing him to have to deploy his weapon shooting the suspect. The suspect died on scene from his injuries.
The two teen-age stabbing victims were in the backseat of the suspect's vehicle when it crashed. They were taken from the home where the stabbing occurred against their will by the suspect.
The 2 subjects did have major stab wounds and were transported to the hospital via ambulance. A third victim was transported from Telegraph RD to the hospital also having stab wounds. We will continue to update as this story developes
